Cement standard consistency water consumption refers to the ratio of water consumption to cement quality when the cement paste reaches the standard consistency. The water consumption standard for the stability test can be obtained by testing the water demand for the cement paste to reach the standard consistency. The method for measuring water consumption of cement standard consistency is introduced below.

1. Must be done before the test

1) The metal rod of Vicat can slide freely.

2) Adjust until the pointer is aligned with the zero point when the test rod touches the glass plate.

3) The mixer is operating normally.

2. Measurement procedure

1) Stir the cement slurry with a cement slurry mixer. Wipe the mixing pot and mixing blades with a damp cloth first, pour the mixing water into the mixing pot, and then carefully add 500g of the weighed cement to the water within 5s～10s to prevent water and cement from splashing out; when mixing, put the pot first On the pot base of the mixer, raise to the mixing position, start the mixer, stir at low speed for 120s, stop for 15s, and scrape the cement slurry on the blade and the pot wall into the middle of the pot, then stir at high speed for 120s and stop.

2) Put the mixed cement paste into the test mold that has been placed on the glass bottom plate, insert it with a small knife, gently vibrate several times to scrape off the excess paste; after smoothing, quickly remove the test mold and the bottom plate Move it to the Vicat meter and place its center under the test rod, lower the test rod until it contacts the surface of the cement paste.

3) After tightening the screw for 1s～2s, suddenly loosen it so that the test rod can sink into the cement paste vertically and freely.

4) Record the distance between the test rod and the bottom plate when the test rod stops sinking or release the test rod for 30 seconds. After raising the test rod, wipe it off immediately.

5) The entire operation should be completed within 1.5min after stirring.

6) The standard consistency of the cement paste with the test rod sunk into the net paste and 6mm±1mm away from the bottom plate is the net paste. The mixing water quantity is the standard consistency water consumption (P) of the cement, which is calculated as a percentage of the cement mass.
